So the resolutions were adopted.

Pending the call of the yeas and nays on the above resolu-
tions. Messrs. Nicolai and Spicer were excused from voting.

Mr. Baker offered the following order :

Ordered, That the Committee on Claims pay to Charles
Gilpin and Samuel M. Haller the usual per diem to date,
heretofore paid to members of this House from Allegany
county.

Pending the consideration of which.

William Devecmon, delegate elect to this House from Alle-
gany county, appeared, qualified and took his seat.

The House then resumed the consideration of the order
offered by Mr. Baker,

Which was adopted.

Mr. Neilson moved a reconsideration of the vote by which
the order agreeing to adjourn until Monday next was this
day adopted ;

Which was decided in the negative.
On motion of Mr. Magruder,

Ordered, That "the Committee, on Claims be authorized to
pay the traveling and incidental'expenses of the Joint Com-
mittee on Inspection of the State Tobaaco Warehouses.

On motion of Mr. Hooper,

The House adjourned, under the order previously adopted,
until Monday morning at twelve o'clock.
