The bill entitled, an Act to add a new article to the Code
of Public General Laws, to be entitled, "Public Roads ;

Being upon its third reading,
On motion of Mr. Dennis,

The vote by which the bill was passed to a third reading
was reconsidered.

Mr. Dennis proposed the following amendment:

In 2d section, strikeout the word "four" and insert "two;"

Which was adopted.

Mr. Burche proposed the following amendment:

Add St. Mary's and Montgomery, after the word Calvert;

Which was adopted.

Mr. Dorsey proposed the following amendment :

Add Caroline after the word "Montgomery;"

Which was adopted.

Mr. Clarke proposed the following amendment:

Add "Baltimore," after the word "Caroline;"

Which was adopted.

On motion of Mr. Dennis,
The bill was then re-committed.

The bill entitled, an Act entitled, a supplement to an Act,
passed at January session, 1856, chapter 109, to amend an
Act entitled, and Act to incorporate the Freemont Saving's
Institution, of Baltimore, by allowing said institution the
privileges embraced under the Act entitled, an Act to con-
tinue the corporate existence of the several Banking Institu-
tions therein mentioned, passed at January session, 1853,
chapter 441;

Was read a third time and passed by yeas and nays, as
follow:
