Said bills were then sent to the Senate.

On motion of Mr. Lindsey,
The rules being suspended,

Leave was granted the Cecil County delegation to report a
bill entitled, an Act to amend the first section of the Act
passed at January session, 1860, chapter 303, entitled, an Act
to carry into effect the eighth section of the Act entitled, an
Act for the promotion of Internal Improvements, passed at
December session, 1835, chapter 395.

On motion of Mr. Magruder,

Leave was granted the Committee on the Judiciary to re-
port a bill to amend section 46 of article 81 of the Code of
Public General Laws ;

Also, leave to report a bill for the relief of Frederick Sass-
cer, clerk of the Circuit Court for Prince George's county.

Mr. Appleman, from a Select Committee, reported favor-
ably a bill entitled, an Act to amend article 21 of the Code
of Public Local Laws entitled, " Washington county," by
amending and re-enacting certain sections and adding there-
to further sections ;

Which was read a first time.

The Secretary of the Senate returned the bill entitled, an
Act to incorporate the Ashland Iron Company of Baltimore
county;

Endorsed, " passed by yeas and nays."

The bill entitled, an Act to alter and change the name of
William St. John Pheasants to the name of William St. John
Pheasants Wingfield;

Was read a third time and passed by yeas and nays as fol-
low :
