The time to which the first order of the day was post-
poned, having expired,

On motion of Mr. Evans,

The Registration bill was re-committed to the Commitiee
on Registration.

The House then resumed the consideration of the Majori-
ty and Minority Reports of the Committee on Elections; on the
right of the sitting members from Allagany to a seat in this
House.

Pending which,

On motion of Mr. Thomas,

A call of the House was ordered and the following mem-
bers responded to their names:

Messrs. Miller, Sp'r, Hall, Williams, Cameron, Hutchins,
Ford, Shipley, Thomas, Jones, Phelps, Kerr, Evans, Liud-
sey, Magruder, Calvert, Buhrman, Baker, Linthicum, Gor-
such, Steiner, Tobey, Bishop, Hutton, Burch, Turner, Cole-
man, Flaherty, Robson, Knottj Lankford, Stevens, Kraft,
Boswell, Thomson, Waltemeyer, Feig, Bixler, Pitts, Aydelott,
Gordy, Nelson, Spicer, Gilpin, McCulley, Haller, Bruce,
Neale, Benton, Poole, Criswell, Wampler, Gore, Horsey,
King and Hammond—55.

On motion of Mr. Bixler,

The Sergeant-at-Arms was ordered to notify the absent
members that their attendance was required, and to bring
them before the bar of the House.

After some time the Sergeant-at-Arms returned and re-
ported that he had brought before the bar of the House, all
the absent members now in the city.

On motion of Mr. Calvert,

All further proceedings under the call were dispensed with.

The House then resumed the consideration of the order of
the day;

Pending which,

Mr. Ford moved the previous question ;

Which was lost.

Mr. Evans proposed the following as a substitute to the
report of the majority of the Committee:

Resolved, That Samuel M. Haller was not duly elected a
Delegate from Allegany county to this House, and is there-
fore not entitled to a seat therein.

Resolved, That William Devecmon, having received a
higher number of votes than Samuel M. Haller, is hereby de-
