The House met.

Present at the call of the roll the following members:

Messrs. Miller,(Speaker,) Clarke, Hutchins, Ford, Shipley,
Thomas, Jones, Dennis, Kerr, Lindsey, Rouzer, Buhrman,
Baker, Gorsuch, Steiner, Bamford, Appleman, Tobey, Hoff-
hine, Bishop, Turner, Neilson, Hooper, Stevens, Kraft, Bos-
well, Thomson, Feig, Bixler, Pitts, Nelson, Whiteford, Wil-
son, Spicer, Gilpin, McCulley, Bruce, Neale, Benton, Poole,
Wampler, Horsey, Hammond—43.

The bill entitled, an Act to add a new section to Article 22
of the Code of Public Local Laws relating to Registers of
Wills, to come in after the 95th section ;

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled, an Act to repeal sections five, six, and
eight of chapter twenty-four, passed at December session,
1835, entitled, an Act to authorize William Krebs, Richard
Linthicum, and William Linthicum to build a bridge over
Gwinn's Falls, at or near where the present bridge stands,
known as the Long Bridge, and to enact substitutes therefor,

Being upon its second reading,

On motion of Mr. Neilson,
Was laid over informally.

The bill entitled, an Act to repeal and re-enact the Act
entitled, an Act to revive the Act of incorporation of the town
of Salisbury, in Somerset and Worcester counties, chapter
356, of Public Local Laws for Somerset county, and to add
new sections thereto, ratifying and confirming certain acts
of the Commissioners of said town, and for other purposes ;

The bill entitled, an Act to authorize the Pennsylvania
Mutual Horse Thief Detective and Insurance Comyany of
York, Pennsylvania, to transact business in the State of Ma-
ryland ;

The bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Sassafras River
Steamboat Company ;

The bill entitled, an Act to refund a sum of money to Sa-
rah Mathias, of Carroll county, erroneously paid into the
Treasury ;

The bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Baltimore
Wrought Iron Pipe and Tube Company ;

Were severally read a second time and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading,
