Present at the call of the roll the following Members:

Messrs. Miller, Speaker, Beck, Williams, Ford, Nicolai,
Thomas, Jones, Kerr, Calvert, Rouzer, Buhrman, Baker,
Linthicum, Bamford, Hoffhine, Bishop, Hutton, Burche, Tur-
ner, Neilson, Smith, Flaherty, Hooper, Knott, Lankford,
Kraft, Boswell, Thomson, Feig, Bixler, Pitts, Nelson, White-
ford, Wilson, Spicer, Gilpin, McCulley, Bruce, Neale,
Benton, Poole, Wampler, Horsey, Hammond—44.

The Journal of Saturday was read and approved.

Mr. Ford presented the petition of Dr. John T. Council-
man and twenty-four other citizens of Baltimore county,
praying a change in the line between the Third and Fourth
Election Districts of said county ;

Which was read and referred to the Baltimore County
delegation.

Mr. Baker presented the memorial of Peter Lugenbeel and
thirty-eight other citizens of Frederick and Montgomery
counties, in favor of constructing a railroad from Frederick
City to Washington City, D. C. ;

Which was read and referred to tho Committee on Corpo-
rations.

Also, the memorial of John S, Bepps and one hundred
other citizens of Frederick county, against any legislation
whereby the existing restriction for the observance of the
Christian Sabbath would be relaxed;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Sunday
Law.

Mr. Turner presented the petition of Joshua Vanzant,
Frank Key Howard, and others, praying a modification of
the Sunday Law ;

Mr. Lankford presented the remonstrance of Isaac P. Cook
and one hundred and thirty-four others, against the repeal of
the Sunday Law;

Which were read and severally referred to a Select Commit-
tee on Sunday Law.

Mr. Hooper presented a petition of Purvis & Co., of Bal-
timore city, praying that certain State taxes paid in error be
refunded;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Ju-
diciary;

Mr. Neale presented a petition of S. J. Bradley and others,
members of the Methodist Episcopal Church of Queen Anne's
county, desiring legislation to enable the members of said
church in said county, to control their church property.

Also, a petition of J. W. E Sudler and others, members
