The rules being suspended,
Leave was granted the Judiciary Committee to intro-
duce a bill for the relief of Theresa Caroline Meister of Balti-
more city;
Also, ordered, that Hon. Alexander Evans, of Cecil county,
have leave of absence from this House until Tuesday next, on
account of business;
On motion of Mr. King,
The rules being considered further suspended;
Ordered, that G. W. McCulloh have leave of absence until
Wednesday 12 o'clock to attended to important business;
On motion Mr. Thomas,
The rules being considered yet further suspended.
Ordered, by the House of Delegates of Maryland, that the
Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company, be and they are hereby
requested to furnish to this House so soon as may be practica-
ble a statement showing the semi-annual amount, paid by
them for interest on the sterling bonds of the State loaned to
that company from 1841, to 1866 inclusive, and including in
said statement the amount actually paid for exchange or other
remittance to make such semi-annual payments of said in-
terest;

The rules being yet further suspended;
Ordered, that it be entered on the Journal that Mr. Hutch-
ins is absent on account of sickness in his family;

Leave was granted the Committee on the Judiciary to
report a bill entitled, an Act to add additional sections to the
30th Article of the Code of Public General Laws, relating to
crimes and punishments;

Ordered, that 300 copies of the petition in favor of the pas-
sage of an Act to authorize certain persons to pursue their
