the Senate, to proceed to the city of Baltimore for the pur-
pose of making a thorough investigation into the affairs and
condition of the State Tobacco Warehouses, and to report to
this General Assembly such legislation in reference thereto
as may be necessary.

We have appointed on the part of the Senate Messrs.
Young and Mackall.

Which was read.

On motion of Mr. Horsey,

Ordered, That John F. Dawson have leave of absence to
visit his home, on account of illness in his family.

On motion of Mr. Davis, of Charles,

Ordered, That the Committee on Printing be requested to
inform this House at what time the report of the Super-
intendent of " Public Instruction," will be printed and ready
for distribution.

On motion of Mr. Bixler,

Ordered, That the Librarian be directed to furnish for the
use of this House, two copies of "Woods' Baltimore City
Directory," for the years 1865, 1866.

On motion of Mr. Boswell,

Ordered, That this House have a recess from 3 P. M., this
afternoon until 7 1/2 o'clock this evening.

In obedience to an order of your Honorable Body, handed

further or additional information on this or any other subject.
