The House took up for consideratios,
The bill entitled, an Act to pay A Lingan Garrett, the
balance of his salary as late Comptroller of the Treasury;

Pending, which,

On motion of Mr. Boswell,

The further consideration of the bill was postponed until
Monday next.

The Secretary of the Senate returned the bill entitled, an
Act to authorise the County Commissioners of Dorchester
county to aid in the completion of the Dorchester and Dela-
ware Railroad;

Endorsed " passed by yeas and hays."

Also, delivered a Ml entitled, an Act supplementary to an
Act to incorporate the Chesapeake Bay and Potomac River
TideWater Canal Company;, passed at January session,
1866, chapter 173;

Which was read a first time and referred to Committee on
Internal Improvements.

Also, the bill entitled, an Act to appropriate a sum of mo-
ney to erect a monument over the remains of Roger B. Taney,
late Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States ;

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on the Judiciary.

Also, the bill entitled, an Act to protect fish and wild fowl
in the waters of Romney Creek, ia Harford county ;

Which was read a first time and referred to the Harford
C«unty delegation.

Also, a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Chestertown
Water Company;

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Corporations.

Also, the bill entitled, an Act to repeal the nineteenth sec-
tion of the twenty-fourth article of the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws, title "Conveyancing," and to re-enact the same
with amendment;

Which, was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on the Judiciary.
