Said resolutions were then sent to the Senate.

The resolutions of Mr. Magruder, expressing the views
of the House of Delegates op the measures of reform adopted
by them,

Being upon their second eading.

Mr. Evans proposed the following amendment:
In line 8, after the word " State," insert the words 'Sub-
ject to Article 5 of the Declaration of Rights;"

Which was adopted.

The resolutions, as amended, were then adopted.
The resolutions of Mr. Stevens, asking the Secretary of
War to retain the rolls of the soldiers of Maryland where they
now are;

Being upon a second reading,
On motion of Mr. Stevens,
Were laid over informally.
On motion of Mr. Spicer,

The vote by which the message to the Senate, submitted
by him on yesterday relative to the appointment of a Joint
Committee to visit the Tobabco Warehouses ;

Was laid on the table and reconsidered.
Mr. King moved its indefinite postponement,
Which was decided in the negative.

The question, then recurring upon the message, Messrs.
Magruder, Davis, of Charles, Hall and Morgan, were consti-
tuted the committee on the part of the House.

The message was then assented to, and sent to the Senate.

The bill, entitled an Act, to repeal Article 63, Code of
Public General Laws, relating to militia, and Sections 652
and 670, both Inclusive of Article 4, Code of Public Local
Laws, relating to militia in the city of Baltimore, and to re-
enact said Article 63, with amendments ;

Being upon its second reading,

On motion of Mr. Neilson,
It was re-committed to the Committee on Militia.
On motion of Mr. Parsons,

The bill, entitled an Act, to repeal Section 8 of Article 30,
of Public General Laws, entitled " Crimes and Punish-
ments;" and to re-enact the same, extending the provisions
of said section to Somerset county;
