buildings, for rent and damages during the war, and since
and what disposition was made thereof?

Fifth. What was the amount of money paid by the State
Treasurer to the College authorities, under the Act of 1866,
Chapter 101, on account of suspended appropriations, and
what disposition has been made thereof?

Sixth. What balance of money is now in the College
Treasury, and to what payments is it subject ?

From what fund besides tuition, and the State's annual do-
nation of three thousand dollars, is it expected to devise the
means of hereafter paying (including the current year) the
salaries of the Principal, Vice-Principal and Professors, and
of defraying the incidental expenses of the institution.

On motion of Mr. Bishop,

Ordered, that Mr. Tobey of Washington county, be granted
leave of absence for a few days to attend to important busi-
ness,

On motion of Mr. Nicolai,

Leave was granted the Committee on Corporations to re-
port a bill to incorporate the Baltimore Warehouse Company.

Also, leave was granted the Committee on Corporations to
report a bill to amend the Charter of the Baltimore and York-
town Turnpike and Railway Company.

On motion of Mr. Appleman,

Leave was granted the Washington county delegation to
introduce a bill to alter and amend the corporation law of
Hagerstowns.

On motion of Mr. King,

Leave was granted the Committee on Corporations to intro-
duce a bill to incorporate Solomon's Lodge, No. 121 of An-
cient Free and Accepted Masons, located in Howard county.

On motion of Mr. McCulley,

Leave was granted the Allegany county delegation, to
report a bill entitled, an Act to amend an Act to incorporate
the Mutual Insurance Company of Allegany county, passed
at December session, 1847, 111, and supplement thereto.

On motion of Mr. Clarke,

Leave was granted Messrs. Clark, Thomas and Colernan,
to report a bill to incorporate the Baltimore City Grain Ele-
vator and Storage Company;

Also, leave was granted the Committee on the Judiciary
to introduce a bill to release to William Watson, Emily Wat-
son and Thomas Watson, all the right and interest of the
State of Maryland in and to the personal property, of which
Michael M. Mitchel, late of Baltimore county, died possessed;
