Wharf;

Which, was read and referred to the Worcester county dele-
gation.

On motion of Mr. Clarke,

Ordered, That this House hold Evening Sessions, com-
mencing at 8 P. M., each day, until all the bills of a local
character are passed upon during the Evening Sessions, until
otherwise ordered; none but local bills now on the Speakers
table be considered.

On motion of Mr. Poole,

Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal of the House,
that William A. Wampler of Carroll, is absent from his seat
on account of urgent and important business.

On motion of Mr. Bishop,

Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal, that R, C.
Bamford of Washington county, has ,been absent from his
seat, in Consequence of sickness.

On motion of Mr. Linthicurn,

The petition from citizens of Frederick and Carroll coun-
ties, 208, praying the repeal or modification of the present
school system of the State, which had been referred to the
Committee on Internal Improvements, was referred to the
Committee on Education.

On motion of Mr. Jones,

Leave,was granted Messrs. Jones, Dennis and Parsons-, to
report a bill to be entitled, an Act to authorise Theodore W.,
Baker, to build a bridge across Kings' Creek in Somerset
county.

On motion of Mr. Neilson,

Leave was granted the Committee on Printing to present
a bill to repeal an Act, entitled " an Act, to establish a uni-
form system of contracting for printing of all such matter per-
taining to and for the use of the Legislature of the State of
Maryland, and for the Constitutional State Convention."

On Action of Mr. Tobey,

Leave was granted the Washington County Delegation to
present a bill to prevent the sale of liquors in Keedysville,
in Washington County, and within two miles thereof.

On motion of Mr. Stevens,

Leave Was granted the Committee on Judiciary to intro-
duce a bill to Repeal Section 35 of Article 10, of the Code of
Public General Laws, relating to attachments, and to re-enact
the same.
