The Journal bf yesterday was read and approved.
Mr. Haller presented a protest of 100 citizens of Allegany
countr, against the repeal of the system of selecting and
drawing Jurors lately in operation in said Allegany county;
Which was read and referred to the Committee on Judi-
ciary.
Mr. Bamford presented a petition of Samuel J. Piper and
121 other citizens of Election District No. 1, in Washington
county, asking for the passage of a law prohibiting the sale
of intoxicating liquors in said District;
