Which were read and referred to the Committee on Agri-
culture.

On motion of Mr. Phelps,

Leave was granted the Dorchester and Caroline Delegations
to report a bill to incorporate the Trustees of the Baptist
Church, at Jones' Mills in Dorchester county.

On motion of Mr. Jones,

Leave was granted the Committee on Corporations to re-
port a bill to be entitled, an Act to incorporate the Baltimore
Wrought Iron Pipe and Tube Company.

On motion of Mr. Steiner,

Leave was granted the Committee on Corporations to intro-
duce a bill to incorporate the Frederick County Agricultural

Society.

On motion of Mr. King,

Leave was granted the Howard and Anne Arundel Dele-
gations to introduce a bill to change the name of William
Smith to William France.

On motion of Mr. Coleman,

Leave was granted the Committee on Ways and Means to
report a bill to exempt the building situated on Pratt street
in the city of Baltimore, belonging to and used by Thomas
Wildey Lodge, No. 44, Independent Order of Odd Fellows,
from State and local taxes.

On motion of Mr. Hammond,

Leave was granted the Commitiee on the Judiciary to in-
troduce an Act in relation to process against non-resident in-
fants;

Also, an Act to amend article 37, section 2, of the Public
General Laws, relating to evidence.

Also, an Act to give Commissioners in Equity, power to
attach witnesses;

Also, an Act in relation to the concurrent jurisdiction of
Orphans' Courts and Courts of Equity, in certain cases.

Mr. Magruder submitted the following
RESOLUTIONS:

WHEREAS, The House of Delegates by their legislation, are
engaged in measures of reform, touching the interests of the
whole people of Maryland, and to that end, are in supposed
conflict with the Constitution of 1864;, therefore, we deem it
proper to adopt and publish the following resolutions:

Resolved by the House of Delegates, That we recognize the
existing Constitution of Maryland, as the Supreme law of the
State, to which every citizen must yield obedience; but the
