Newman, late of Queen Anne's county, deceased, to the
Methodist Episcopal Church of said county;

Which was read the first time and referred to the commit-
tee on Judicial Proceedings.

A bill entitled, an Act to repeal an Act passed at January
Session, 1866, entitled,, an Act to repeal the 43d and 44th
sections of Article six of the Public Local Law, for Caroline
county, relating to the Circuit Court for said county, and to
re-enact the same ;

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Judicial Proceedings.

A bill entitled, an Act to authorize the Pennsylvania Mu-
tual Horse Thief Detecting and Insurance Company of York,
Pennsylvania, to transact business in the State of Maryland ;

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Judicial Proceedings.

A bill entitled, an Act to authorize Nicholas Hammond,
Administrator of Nicholas H. Green, late clerk of the Circuit
Court for Anne Arundel county, to complete the unfinished
records and business in said office and to collect the fees due
to said Green ;

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
lee on Judicial Proceedings.

A bill entitled, an Act to authorize Grayson Eichelberger,
State Bounty Commissioner of Frederick county, to pay to
Eliza S. Karnes, Administratrix of Thomas E. Karnes, cer-
tain money;

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Judicial Proceedings.

And returned the bill entitled, an Act to change the name
of Benjamin Edes Long ;

Endorsed, "passed by yeas and nays."

Also, a bill entitled, an Act to authorize and empower the
Trustees of the Parsonage property in Chestertown, of the
Methodist Protestant Church of Kent circuit, to sell and con-
vey certain real estate in said town ;

Endoised, "passed by yeas and nays."

Mr. Vickers from the Committee on Corporations, to which
was referred the bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the
Slaughters Steamboat Company;

Reported it without amendment ;

Mr. Stirling moved to re-commit the bill to the Commit-
tee on Corporations ;
