Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Commis-
sioners of Worcester county to sell and convey a certain lot
or parcel of ground in Newtown;

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Good Intent
Lodge No. 99 of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows of
Somerset county;

Was taken up.

Mr. Jones proposed the following message :

BY THE HOUSE of DELEGATES,

1st of February, 1867.
Gentlemen of the Senate :

We have the melancholy duty to announce the death of the
Hon. Henry S. Magraw, a delegate to this House from Cecil
county, who died at the city of Washington this morning, at
8.40 o'clock, A. M. As a testimonial of respect for the mem-
ory of the deceased, and of our sorrow for his death, we pro-
pose, with the concurrence of your Honorable body, that the
two Houses of the General Assembly, when they adjourn
stand adjourned till ————— and that the members of both
Houses will wear the usual badge of mourning. And we
further propose the appointment of a joint committee of both
Houses, consisting of four members On the part of this House,
and two on the part of the Senate to attend the funeral of the
deceased. .

We have appointed on the part of this House Messrs.
Evans, Whitaker, Lindsey and Whiteford, as said committee.

On motion the blank was filled by inserting Monday next,
at 12 o'clock, M.

The message was then read, assented to and sent to the
Senate.

The Secretary of the Senate delivered the bill entitled, an
Act to repeal an Act passed at the January session of the
General Assembly in the year 1867 entitled, "an Act, to re-
peal the 4th, 7th, 15th, 16th and 20th sections of the 4th
article of the Public Local Laws of the city of Baltimore,
relating to the qualification of electors in said city, and reg-
ulating the time for holding elections for Mayor and members
of the City Council, and the terms of, and the time for
