report a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Trustees of
the Parsonage house of the Methodist Episcopal Church in
Emmittsburg Circuit, East Baltimore Conference.
On motion of Mr. Hall,
Leave was granted the Committee on Militia to introduce a
bill to exempt the bond of James Nutwell, of Anne Arundel
county, from responsibility on account of arms furnished by
the State of Maryland, which were taken from him by agents
of the General Government.
Also, leave was granted the Committee on Judiciary to
report a bill entitled, an Act to add to article ninety-one of
the Code of Public General Laws entitled, " Sureties," an
additional section providing for the better protection of the
same.
On motion of Mr, Smith,
Leave was granted the Committee on Corporations, to
introduce an Act supplementary to an Act entitled, " an Act
to incorporate the Baltimore and Fell's Point Hebrew Friend-
ship Congregation," passed December session, 1846.
On motion of Mr. Flaherty,
Leave was granted the Committee on Inspections to intro-
duce a bill entitled an Act to repeal Sections 1,2, 3, 4, 5, 8,
7,8,9,10, 11, chapter 116-, of the Acts of 1862, and to
substitute in lieu thereof Sections 552, 553, 554, and 556, of
Article 4, of the Code of Public Local Laws, relating to the
city of Baltimore;
On motion of Mr. Boswell,
Leave was granted the Committee on Education to intro-
duce a bill to authorise the Board of Trustees of the "Mc-
Donough Educational Fund and Institute," to locate said In-
stitute in Baltimore county, and to connect a Farm School
therewith.
On motion of Mr. Neilson,
Leave was granted the Committee on Ways and Means,
to report a bill to repeal Section 87 of Article 4, of the Code
of Public Local Laws of the city of Baltimore, relating to
Auctions and to re-enact the game with amendments.
On motion of Mr. Neilson,
Leave was granted the Committee on Corporations to pre-
sent a bill to incorporate "The Oblate Sisters of Providence,"
of the city of Baltimore.
On motion of Mr. Gore,
Leave was granted the Car roll county delegation to report
a bill to refund to Sarah Mathias, of Carroll county, eighteen
dollars, State tax paid into the State Treasury erroneously,
Mr. Gorsuch, (the rules being suspended,)
