chapter 257, entitled, an additional supplement to the Act
entitled, an Act incorporating the Master and Wardens of
Clinton Lodge number eighty-three of Free and Accepted
Masons.
Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Corporations.
On motion of Mr. Smith,
Ordered, That the Committee on Inspections be and they
are hereby required to examine into and ascertain what
amounts, if any, were received by the Inspectors of flour
during last year, and in what manner said amounts were
expended by said Inspectors; and to require said Inspectors
to forward to the Comptroller, who shall communicate the
same to this House, a detailed statement of all such, monies
received by them, and a detailed statement of the disburse-
ment of the same; also, to inquire what, if any, legislation
is necessary to enable this department to pay a revenue to the
State; and to report by bill or otherwise.
On motion of Mr. Hammond,
Ordered, That the Committee on Militia report to this
House by bill, or otherwise, whether provision should be
made by law for paying the officers who were appointed by
Governor Bradford, in 1865, to organize the militia of the
State, and who actually proceeded to perform the duties
assigned them, until their orders were subsequently counter-
manded by the Adjutant-General.
On motion of Mr. Nicolai,
Leave was granted the Committee on Corporation, to
report a bill to incorporate the Mount Moriah Lodge No. 116,
A. F. & A. M., of Towsontown;
Also, leave to report a bill to incorporate the Chesapeake
Mutual Insurance Company, of Baltimore city.
On motion of Mr. Lankford,
Leave was granted the Committee on the Judiciary to
report a bill to add an additional section to the Code of Fab-
lie Local Laws, Article 4, City of Baltimore, in relation to the
Orphans' Court.
