Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading, and

Was accordingly engrossed.

The bill entitled, an Act to authorise and require the
Comptroller to correct the errors in the distribution of the
Free School Fund from the year 1852, to the year 1866, and
to pay to Baltimore city and to Baltimore county, the
amounts of which they have been deprived by said errors,
and to make appropriation for that purpose,

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading, and

Was accordingly engrossed.

The bill entitled, an Act to repeal the Act of January Ses-
sion, 1864, chapter 282, entitled, "an Act to add the follow-
ing section to the 40th Article of Public General Laws, re-
quiring Jurors to take the oath of allegiance, being under
consideration ;

Mr. Vickers submitted the following amendment :

Amend by filling the blank with the words "two hundred
and eighty-two ;"

Determined in the affirmative.

The bill was then read a second time, and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading; and
Was accordingly engrossed.

The bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Equitable Gas
Light Company of Baltimore city, being under consideration ;
Mr. Tome submitted the following amendment:

Amend section 6, line 2, by striking out the word "ten"
and inserting the word "thirty;"

On the question being put, it was
Determined in the affirmative.
Mr. Stirling submitted the follwing amendment:
Section 11, 14 line, after the .word "of" insert the words
"two hundred and fifty thousand dollars ;"
The question upon the adoption of the amendment, was
Determined in the affirmative.

The bill was then read a second time, and ordered to
be engrossed for a third reading, and

Was accordingly engrossed.

A communication was received from His Excellency Gover-
nor Swann, by the hands of Peter Leary, Jr., Esq., Private
Secretary, endorsed on "Executive Business."
