Mr. Nicolai, from Committee on Corporations, reported
favorably on Senate hill entitled, an Act to incorporate Blen-
heim Lodge No. 102 of the Independent Order of Odd fel-
lowship in Harford county ;

Which was read a second time.

The Hour having arrived for taking up the Order of the
Day, being the bill entitled, an Act to frame a new constitu-
tution and form of Government for the State of Maryland,
the question being upon the amendment of Mr. Linthicum
to the amendment proposed by Mr. Knott, viz: "That each
county in the State, and the city of Baltimore, shall be enti-
tled to the same number of delegates in said Convention as
they now have in the Senate and House of Delegates;"

Pending the consideration of which,
On motion of Mr. Waltemeyer,

The House adjourned until to-morrow morning at 11 o'clock.

THURSDAY, January 24, 1867.

The House met, and was opened with prayer by the Rev.
Mr. Hamrnond.

McCulley, Haller, Bruce, McCulloh, Neale, Benton, Pople,
Criswell, Wampler, Dawson, King—65.

The Journal of yesterday was read and approved.

Mr. Davis, of Charles, presented a petition from Rufus,
Robey of Charles county, praying the passage of a law to
authorize the payment of Registers for the year 1866 ;

Which was read and referred to Committee on Registra-
