amend a supplement thereto, passed at December session,
1836, chapter 379.

On motion of Mr. Haller,

Leave was granted the Allegany county delegation to
report a bill for the payment of the claims against the Na-
tional Road, in Maryland.

On motion of Mr. McCulley,

Leave was granted the Committee on Claims to introduce a
bill for the relief of S. L. Townsend, late collector of Al-
legany county, for Taxes erroneousty paid the State of Mary-
land.

On motion of Mr. Davis, of Baltimore city,
Leave was granted the Committee on the Judiciary to in.
troduce a bill to repeal certain Sections of Article 4th, of
the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Habeas Corpus,"
and enact others in lieu thereof.

On motion of Mr. Coleman,

Leave was granted the Committee on Corporations to in-
troduce a bill to amend the charter of the Baltimore Chrome
Mining and Manufacturing Company, by empowering the
said Company to increase its capital stock, or to make calls
or assessments upon the present capital stock.

On motion of Mr. Israel,

Leave was granted the Committee on Ways and Means
to introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal the 37th 38th
39th and 40th sections of Article fifty-six, of the Code
of Public General Laws entitled "Licenses," and to re-enact
the same with amendments.

On motion of Mr. Linthicum,

Leave was granted the Frederick county delegation to
introduce a bill to authorize the President and Direc-
tors of the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal Company, to
grant, in their discretion, a water right to Chas. F. Wenner,
at or near Berlin, in Frederick county.

On motion of Mr. Lindsey,

Leave was granted the Cecil county delegation to report a
bill to incorporate the village of Warwick, in Cecil county.

On motion of Mr. Appleman,

Leave was granted the Committee on Claims, to introduce
a bill to compensate E. M. Mobley for the loss of a horse in
the service of the Military State Agency.

On motion of Mr. Magruder,
Leave was granted the Committee on Claims to report a bill
