The time having arrived for taking up the order of the
day, being the bill entitled, an Act to frame a New Constitu-
tion and form of Government for the State of Maryland.

The question being upon the amendment of Mr. Linthi-
cum, to the amendment proposed by Mr. Knott, viz: "That
each county in the S tate, and the city of Baltimore, shall be
entitled to the same number of Delegates in said Convention,
as they now have in the Senate and House of Delegates."

Pending the consideration of which,
