So it appeared that no person received a majority of all the
votes cast for Senator of the United States.

On motion of Mr. Jones,

The joint Assembly was then adjourned to meet to-morrow
at 12 o'clock.

On motion of Mr. Jones,

The House proceeded to ballot for a State Treasurer,
Mr. Dennis nominated Robert Fowler.
Mr. Appleman nominated Mr. Thomas Gorsuch.

The Speaker appointed Messrs. Knott and Burhman, Tel-
lers.

The roll was called and seventy-five members responded
and voted.

The Speaker having sealed the ballot box, inscribed thereon:
