So it was adopted.
On motion of Mr. Nicolai,
Ordered, That the Committee on Corporations be author-
ized and empowered to enquire whether the terms of sale of
that portion of the Franklin Railroad in this State, have been
complied with and whether any unjust discriminations are made
against the citizens of the State of Maryland, either in tolls
or rates of passage and that they have leave to report by bill
or otherwise.
On motions of Mr. Parsons,
Ordered, That the State Librarian be instructed to furnish
the Comptroller of the Treasury, with such copies of the
Journal of Proceedings of the Senate and House of Dele-
gates, as he may require and hereafter to furnish said officer
daily with a copy of the Journal of each House.
Mr. Carmichael submitted the following message:
BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,
January 18, 1867.
Gentlemen of the Senate:
We propose with the concurrence of your Honorable Body,
to proceed to the election of State Treasurer to-day, immedi-
ately after the adjournment of the Joint Assembly, for the
election of United States Senator. We have nominated Ro-
bert Fowler, on the part of this House.

On motion of Mr. Hutchins,
Leave was granted the Baltimore county delegation to re-
port a bill entitled, an Act to add additional section to Arti-
cle 3d of the Code of Public Local Laws of Baltimore county,
fixing the compensation of the standard keepers of weights
and measures in said county;
