votes cast for Senator of the United States.

On motion of Mr. Jones,

The joint assembly then adjourned to meet to-morrow at

On motion of Mr. Smith,

Leave was granted the Committee on the Judiciary to in-
troduce a bill repealing sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8, of
Article 25 of the Code of Public General Laws entitled
"Coroners," and to enact a substitute therefor.

On motion of Mr. Jones,

Leave was granted the Somerset delegation to introduce a
bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Commissioners
of Somerset county, to build a bridge over King's Creek, in
said county, between the farms now belonging to Theodore
W. Baker, in connection with a public road through said
farms.

The bill entitled, an Act to provide for calling a conven-
tion to frame a New Constitution, and form of government
for, the State of Maryland;

The question being on the adoption of the amendment sub-
mitted by Mr. Linthicum to the amendment submitted by
Mr. Knott.

Pending the consideration of which,

On motion of Mr. Jones,
The House adjourned until to-morrow morning 11 o'clock.
