On motion of Mr. Burche,

Leave was granted the Committee on the Judiciary, to re-
port a bill authorising the Register of Wills of Montgomery
;ounty to have copied two of the records in his office which
have become mutilated and worn by long use.

On motion of Mr. Neilson,

Leave was granted Committee on Corporations to introduce
a bill entitled, A supplement to an Act to amend an Act
entitled, "an Act to incorporate the Fremont Savings Insti-
tution of Baltimore," by allowing said institution the privil-
eges embraced under the act entitled, "an Act to continue the
corporate existence of the several banking institutions' therein
mentioned," passed at January session, eighteen hundred and
fifty three, chapter four hundred and forty-one, passed at
January session, eighteen hundred and fifty-six.

On motion of Mr. Neilson,

Leave was granted Messrs. Neilson, Hall, Horsey, Bishop
and Gore, to report a bill to amend chapter 66 of the Code of
Public General Laws relating to Sabbath breaking.

On motion of Mr. Clarke,

Leave was granted Committee on Corporations to report a
bill to incorporate the Ashland Iron Company of Baltimore
county.

Also, leave was granted Committee on Claims, to report a
bill to regulate the compensation of the Speaker of this
House.

On motion of Mr. Burche,

Leave was granted Committee on Corporations to report a
bill to incorporate the Baltimore Yearly Meeting of the Soci-
ety of Friends, held on Lombard street, in the city of Balti-
more.

On motion of Mr. Appleman,

Leave was granted Washington County delegation to intro-
duce a bill for the protection of birds, in Washington county.

On motion of Mr. Nicolai

Leave was granted Baltimore County delegation to introduce

a bill to change the place of holding the polls in the 5th Dis-
trict of Baltimore county.

On motion of Mr. Dennis,

Leave was granted Somerset County delegation to introduce a
bill to incorporate the town of Princess Anne.

Mr. Nicolai, from the Committee on Corporations, reported
favorably a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Burkits-
ville Female Seminary, of Frederick County ;
