A cummunication was received from His Excellency Gover-
nor Swann, endorsed on Executive Business.

On motion of Mr. Compton,

The Senate proceeded to the consideration o: Executive
Business.

After a time the Senate resumed the consideration of Legis-
lative Business.

Mr. Brodwater asked and obtained leave of absence for one
week.

On motion of Mr. Frazier,

The Senate adjourned until to-morrow morning at 12
o'clock.

WEDNESDAY, February 6, 1867.

Mr. Stephenson presented the memorial of 80 citizens of Ce-
cil county, against the erection of Booms in the Susquehanna
river;

Which was read and referred to the Committee already
raised on that subject.

Mr. Bowie presented the memorial of William D. Bowie,
Jr., praying for the refunding of certain money erroneously
paid into the Treasury;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Finance.

Mr. Bowie presented the memorial of A. and W. Denmead
& Son, Cortland & Co., and 36 large mercantile firms and
business men of Baltimore city, praying the General Assem-
bly to reject any amendment to the charter of the Baltimore
and Potomac Rail Road Company ;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Internal
Improvements.

Mr. Bowie presented the memorial of James W. Alnutt,
Dutrow and Cornell Foard & Rogers and 22 business firms
and bankers of Baltimore, praying the General Assembly not
to alter or amend the charter of the Baltimore and Potornac
Rail Road Company;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Inter-
nal Improvements.
