ORDERS—

Relating to the expediency of allowing trial by
jury of all matters of fact in the Courts of Chance-
ry, 150.

Requesting the president of the Chesapeake and
Delaware River Canal Company to furnish rates
of toll, 150.

Relating to reflections made upon the motives
of the Senator from Dorchester county by the re-
porter of the Baltimore American, 180.

In regard to evening se'ssions of the Senate, 210.

Relating to the preservation of the highly
prized historic painting that decorates the Hall,
216.

Directing the Secretary to have the committee
room adjoining the Senate chamber re-carpeted,
216.

Directing the Reading Clerk not to allow any
bills to be examined while in his possession, ex-
cept by members of the Senate, 217.

Requesting the president of the Baltimore and
Ohio Railroad Company to furnish an accurate
statement of the gross earnings of the Baltimore
and Ohio Railroad, and the Washington Branch
of the same since 1861, inclusive. The expendi-
tures of the same roads for the same period, and
the proportion thereof charged to each of said
roads. The amount of the earnings of each of
said roads still in the hands of the Company not
distributed, why such surplus fund, if any, is so
held, and to what purpose it is being, or designed
to be, applied, 217.

Inviting John W. Garrett, Esq., president of
the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company, to
address the Senate on the subject of the Baltimore
and Ohio and the Baltimore and Potomac Rail-
roads, 224.

Requesting the Reading Clerk, before reading
the title of any bill, to announce whether or not
said bill is printed, &c., 227.

Relating to withdrawing from the Committee
on Judicial Proceedings, the bill for the election
of Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, and re-
ferring the same to a Select Committee, 227.
