The Journal of yesterday was read and approved. Mr. Lee presented ten petitions from citizens of Cecil and Harford counties in favor of the Boom Company. Mr. Silver presented a petition of John W. McCullough, J. R. Coulson, and one hundred and forty-two citizens of Port Deposit, against the passage of the Boom bill now pending; "Which was read and referred to the Committee on Corpo- rations. Mr. Norris presented, a petition from two hundred and ninety-eight citizens of Carroll county, for the repeal or modification of the Registry Law; Also, a petition of seventy-three citizens of Carroll county, for the repeal or modification of the Registry Law; "Which were read and referred to the Committee on Regis- tration. Mr. Miller, of Anne Arundel, presented a petition from John Mooney, and other citizens of Anne Arundel county, praying a repeal or modification of the Registry Law; Which was read and referred to the Committee on Regis- tration, Mr. Smith, of Frederick, presented a petition from Samuel P. Haffuer and eighteen others, citizens of Frederick county living near the Monocacy river, against the passage of a law prohibiting the erection of fish or eel-pots thereon; Also, a petition from Urbana and. Buckeystown District, Frederick county, against the passage of a law prohibiting the erection of eel-pots on the waters of the Monocacy River; Which were read and. referred to the Frederick: county delegation. Mr. "Williams presented a petition from John F. Ireland, and. twenty-four other citizens of Calvert county, in favor of the repeal of the Registry Law; |
