The said bill was then sent to the Senate. The bill entitled, an Act to appropriate a sum of money to pay certain members of the committee on Ways and Means of the House of Delegates, and the committee on Fi- nance, of the Senate of 1864, for labors performed, and ser- vices rendered after" the adjournment of the Legislature; Was read the third time and rejected for want of a consti- tutional majority, by yeas and nays as follow:
The Secretary of the Senate delivered the joint resolutions relative to the Coal trade; Which was read the first time. Also, the following Senate hills: An Act to add an additional section to the 56th article of the Code of Public General Laws entitled, "Licenses," pre- scribing certain duties to the Sheriff of Baltimore city, in relation to Licenses, and repealing the Act of January ses- sion, 1865, chapter 142, relating to the Clerk of the Court of Common Pleas; |
