Said hill was then sent to the House of Delegates. Mr. McMaster, from the Select committee, reported a bill entitled, an Act to regulate and pay the travelling expenses of members of the Legislature; Which was read the first time. The bill to incorporate the Southern Fast Freight Line, Was read the third time, and passed by yeas and nays as follow:
Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates. The bill to incorporate the Merchants' Steamship Line;, Was referred to the Committee on Corporations. On motion of Mr. Vickers, Ordered, That in the consideration of local bills the roll of the Senate be called, and each Senator when called shall have the privilege of calling up any bill he may select. |
