Western Maryland Railroad Company for the construction
of its road between Hagerstown and Cumberland;
Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.
The bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Farmers' and
Mechanics' Mutual Insurance Company of Washington
county;
Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.
The bill entitled, an Act to incorporate The Davis Lum-
ber and Oil Manufacturing and Mining Company of Alle-
gany county;
Was read the second time and ordered to he engrossed for
a third reading.
The bill entitled, an Act to amend the, 30th Article of the
Code of Public General Laws, by repealing all the sections
of said article from section 56 to section 66 inclusive, relat-
ing to "Gaming," and so substitute therefor the following
sections:
Was taken up for consideration on its second reading ;
Mr. Roberts moved to strike out the enacting clause of the
bill;
Mr. Tull demanded the yeas and nays;
The demand being sustained;
