The said bill was then sent to the Senate.
The bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the town of Elli-
cott's Mills, by the name of Ellicott's City.
Was read the second time, amended and ordered to be en-
gossed for a third reading.
On motion of Mr. Miller, of Washington,
The rules were suspended, and he submitted the following
order:
Ordered, That the Postmaster of the House of Delegates
furnish each member of the House of Delegates with fifty
dollars in stamps, for the purpose of paying postage on docu-
ments;
Mr. Buhrman moved to lay said order on the table;
Decided in the negative.
The question then being on the adoption of the order,.
Mr. Buhrman demanded, the yeas and nays.
The demand being sustained,
