318 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Feb. 3, On motion of Mr. Harris, The bill to make certain improvements in the vicinity of the State Live Stock Scales; Was referred to the Baltimore county delegation. The bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Leitersburg Lamp and Tin Ware Manufacturing Company; . Was read the third time and passed by yeas and cays as follow:
The said bill was then sent to the Senate. The bill entited, an Act to relieve the sureties of Moses Pawling, for the year 1846, upon the Sheriff bond; Was read the second time, amended, and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. The bill entitled, an Act to provide additional funds for the support of the Free Public Schools in the State of Mary- land; Was taken up for consideration on its second reading. Mr. Valliant submitted the following amendment: Amend by striking out the words "ten cents," and insert- ing "twenty cents." Pending the consideration of which, On motion of Mr. Soper, The House adjourned. |
