On motion of Mr. Markey,
The vote was reconsidered and the bill made Order of the
Day for Monday next at 11 o'clock.
Mr. Kirk, from a select committee, reported favorably
Senate bill entitled, an Act to repeal the 397th section, of
article 4, of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled city of
Baltimore and relating to the Inspector General and Assis-
tant Inspectors of Grain for the city of Baltimore;
Which was read the second time,
Mr. Valliant, from the committee appointed to visit the
Public Schools of Baltimore, submitted the following report:
REPORT:
The committee appointed to visit and examine the Public
Schools of Baltimore City respectfully report that they never
permormed a more pleasing official duty. They visaed and ex-
amined the Schools in their three grades of Primary, Grammar
and High Schools. The system pursued in the management
of the Schools is complete in its course of study and transfer
on the attainment of proficiency, not only from the lower
