Gentlemen of the Senate: We herewith return to you, according to request, House bill entitled, an Act to amend section 31, of article 26, of the Code of Public General Laws of this State, entitled, "Corpo- rations." By Order, W. R. COLE, Chief Clerk. Mr. Markey, from a Select committee reported favorably Senate bill entitled, an Act to provide for the general valu- ation and assessment of property in this State; Which was read the second time. On motion of Mr. Markey, The said bill was made the order of the day for Monday next, at 12 o'clock. Mr. Slothower, from the committee on corporations, re- ported favorably Senate bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Chesapeake Bay and Potomac River Tide Water Canal Company; Which was read the second time. Mr. Silver moved to make said bill the order of the day for Tuesday at 12 o'clock; Decided in the negative. On motion of Mr. Markey, The said bill was made the order of the day for Monday- evening next at 8 o'clock. Mr. Markey, from the committee on Registration reporte with amendments the bill entitled, an Act to restore Wil- liam Thompson of R., of Montgomery county, to the elective franchise and full rights of citizenship; AMENDMENT PROPOSED: Add after the word "county," in line 3, the name of "Thomas F. J. Rider and Lemuel Malone, of Somerset coun- ty, and G. M. Watkins, of Montgomery county," 24 |
