The said bill was then sent to the Senate. The Speaker announced the following committee, on the joint resolutions in reference to the building of Railroads through this State, and on the Harbor of Baltimore; Messrs. Smith, of Allegany, Miller, of A. A., Slothower and Stone. On motion of Mr. Markey, The House adjourned. WEDNESDAY, January 31, 1866. The House met, and was opened with a prayer, by the Rev. Mr. Owen. Present at the call of the roll the following members: Messrs. A., Miller, of Washington, Mittag, Mules, Nairne, Norris, Pilk- ington, Poteet, Rider, Rinehart, Roberts, Shaw, Sherry, Sil- ver, Slothower, Smith, of Allegany, Smith, of Dorchester, Smith,' of Frederick, Soper, Stewart, Stone, Tolson, Tull, Usilton, Wardwell, Warner, Watkins, Williams, Willis Wilson, Zeigler—60. The Journal of yesterday was read and approved. The Speaker laid before the House additional testimony in the contested election of Spence vs. Franklin; Which was read and referred to the committee on Elections. |
