The bill was re-committed to the committee on Corpora-
tions.
The bill entitled, an Act to encourage and facilitate emi-
gration into the State of Maryland;
Was taken up for consideration on its third reading.
Mr. Smith, of Frederick, submitted the following amend-
ment;
Strike out inline two section six. "two thousand," and
insert "one thousand;"
Mr. Lusby submitted the following amendment to the
amendment;
Amend by striking out "two thousand," and inserting;
"fifteen hundred,"
Decided in the affirmative;
Mr. Buhrman moved to strike out the enacting clause of
the hill;
Mr. Frazier (Mr. Markey in the Chair,) demanded the yeas
and nays;
The demand being sustained,
