76 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Jan. 25, Also, reported from the same committee, a bill to sell 200 shares of stock held by the State in the Union Manufacturing company; Which was read the first time, Mr. Lansdale from the committee on Elections, to which was referred the returns of election of Senators reported that the Committee found them to be correct. Mr. Ohr, from the committee on Federal Relations, reported Joint Resolutions remonstrating against the Chesa- peake and Lake Erie Railroad; Which were read the first time; and On motion of Mr. Ohr, Were read the second time, and Ordered, to be engrossed for a third reading; Read the third time by special order, three-fourths concur- ring, and passed by yeas and nays as follow:
The chair appointed as a committee under the resolutions on the part of the Senate Messrs. Ohr, Turner, Clarke and. Earle. Mr. Turner presented the memorial in favor of J. J. Bar- tholemew; : . Which was read and referred to the committee on Finance Mr. Frazier, from the committee on Corporations, to which was referred the bill to incorporate the Washington and Point Lookout Railroad company; Reported it without amendment; and |
