1866.] OF THE SENATE. 69 Mr. Wells, from the committee on Judicial Proceedings, to whom was referred the following bills: A bill authorizing the commissioners of Montgomery county to deed a square of ground to Lewis Shots; A bill in favor of R. Snowden, of Montgomery county, de- ceased; A bill in favor of transcribing certain records by the Re- gister of Wills, Frederick county;. A bill authorizing the commissioners of the town of Havre De Grace to sell certain lots; A bill for the relief of Samuel Harrington, of Dorchester county; Reported them without amendment; And they were severally read the second time. Mr. Davis, of Caroline, from the Select committee, report- ed a bill to repeal sections of Local Law for Caroline county, relating to the Circuit court; Which was read the first time. Mr. Vickers, from the committee on Internal Improve- ments, to which was referred the bill to secure the comple- tion of the Eastern Shore Railroad; Reported it without amendment. The hour having arrived for considering the order of the day, On motion of Mr. Davis, It was postponed for a half hour. Mr. Tome submitted the following amendment to the bill reported by Mr. Vickers: Section 1, line 10, strike our "four hundred" and insert "three hundred;" Determined in the negative. Mr. Tome moved to refer the bill to the committee on Fi- nance; Determined in the negative. Mr. Tome moved to postpone the bill; Determined in the negative. bill was then read the second time; and, |
