Mr. Soper, from the committee on Ways and Means, to whom was referred a petition to pay Charles Quintan a bounty, withheld in consequence of his name not appearing on the muster-roll, reported the petition back to the House, and moved its reference to the committee on Claims; Which was adopted. ' Mr. Sherry, from a select committee, reported favorably a bill entitled, an Act to change the name of William Baker Lowdermilk, of Cumberland, Alleghany county, to Will H. Lowdermilk; Which was read the first time. Mr. Cronise, from a select committee, reported favorably a bill entitled, an Act supplementary to the Act of eighteen hundred and sixty-five, chapter 203, making additional ap- propriation to the Antietam National Cemetery; Which was read the first time. On motion of Mr. Cronise, The rules were suspended, the bill, by special order read the second and third times, and passed by yeas and nays as follow:
The said bill was then sent to the Senate. Mr. Willis, from a Select committee, reported favorably a supplement to an Act to incorporate the Chesapeake and Ohio |
