Which was read the second time.
Mr. Soper, from the committee on Ways and Means, to
whom was referred a petition to pay Charles Quintan a
bounty, withheld in consequence of his name not appearing
on the muster-roll, reported the petition back to the House,
and moved its reference to the committee on Claims;
Which was adopted. '
Mr. Sherry, from a select committee, reported favorably a
bill entitled, an Act to change the name of William Baker
Lowdermilk, of Cumberland, Alleghany county, to Will H.
Lowdermilk;
Which was read the first time.
Mr. Cronise, from a select committee, reported favorably a
bill entitled, an Act supplementary to the Act of eighteen
hundred and sixty-five, chapter 203, making additional ap-
propriation to the Antietam National Cemetery;
Which was read the first time.
On motion of Mr. Cronise,
The rules were suspended, the bill, by special order read
