The said bill was then sent to the Senate. The following message .was received from the Executive at the hands of the Secretary of State, John M. Carter, Esq. STATE OF MARYLAND, EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT. Annapolis, Jan. 17th, 1866. Gentlemen of the House of Delegates, I herewith transmit for the attention of your Honorable Body a copy of the Report of the State Superintendent of Pub- lic Instruction for the year 1865, and of a letter addressed to Governor A. W. Bradford; by Brantz Mayer, Esq., of Balti- more, on the examination, classification and partial arrange- ment of some of the State Papers of Maryland, belonging to the Proprietary, Royal and Revolutionary Periods. THO. SWANN. Mr. McCauley from the committee on Education, submit- ted the following report: The committee on Education to whom was referred the re- port of the Superintendent of Public Instruction, report back to the House so much of said report as relates to the Mary- land Agricultural College and ask that the same be referred to the Special committee on said College; Which was adopted. Mr. Jones from the committee on Corporations, reported favorably a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Baltimore Warehouse and Security company; Which was read the first time. The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following mes- sage: |
