On motion of Mr. Soper,
It was referred to the committee on the Judiciary.
Mr. Willis, from the committee on Internal Improvements,
reported favorably a bill entitled, an Act to authorize and re-
quire the county Commissioners of Frederick county to levy
a sum of money to rebuild two bridges across the Monocacy
river;
Which was read the first time.
Mr. Poteet, from the committee on Claims, reported favor-
bly a bill entitled, an Act to refund to Levi Yingling,
certain sums of money erroneously paid into the State
Treasury.
Also, favorably a bill entitled, an Act to refund a sum of
money, paid into the State Treasury erroneously, by John
H. Bond, of the fifth election district of Baltimore county;
Which was read the first time.
Mr. Jones, from the committee on Corporations, reported
favorably a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Joint
Stock Company of the Mount Washington Female College, of
the Methodist Episcopal Church.
Also, favorably a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the
Baltimore File Company;
Which was read the first time.
Also, favorably a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the
Mount Washington, Mining company;
Which was read the first time.
Also, favorably a bill entitled, an Act authorizing the
trustees of the Methodist Protestant Church, situated on the
north-west corner of Fayette and Aisquith streets, to sell a
certain lot of ground,;
Which was read the first time.
Mr. Smith, of Dorchester, from a Select committee, re-
ported favorably a bill entitled, an Act to add additional
sections to Chapter 197, passed at the January session, 1852,
relating to Slaughter creek bridge, in Dorchester county;
Which was read the first time.
Mr. Buhrman, from a Select committee, reported favorably
a bill entitled, an Act to prohibit the issuing of any license
for the sale of spirituous or fermented liquors within three
miles of either of the churches in the village of Wolfsville,
