Mr; Cronise submitted the following resolutions: Resolved by the House of Delegates, That while it gives us great-pleasure to learn of the appointment of Captain E. F. Anderson of Washington county, late a member of this body to a position in the Custom House, in the city of Baltimore. a position which he so richly deserved and merited as a wounded soldier and officer of the army of the United States, whose battles he so bravely fought, we realize most-deeply his absence in our midst. Resolved, That in Captain Andersen we recognized an able and efficient member, a courteous gentleman and a true friend and most sincerely wish him success in his new position. Resolved} That as a token of our high esteem for Captain Anderson, as a gentleman, and of our appreciation of his services as a member of this house, a copy of these resolutions be communicated to him by the Chief Clerk of this House.
