oil of Baltimore to subscribe to the capital stock of the West-
ern Maryland Railroad company, to an amount not exceeding
two hundred thousand dollars."
On motion of Mr. Sherry,
Leave was granted the committee on Corporations to report
a bill entitled an Act to incorporate the town of Frostburg
under the style and title of "The Mayor and Councilmen of
the Town of Frostburg."
Also, leave was granted the Allegany county delegation to
report a bill to legalize the election of Trustees of the first
Lutheran Church of Frostburg, held on the 23d day of Nov.
1865.
On motion of Mr. Smith, of Allegany,
Leave was granted the committee on the Judiciary to report
a bill to repeal the 196th section of the 93d article of the Code
and. re-enact with amendment.
Also, leave was granted the committee of Ways and
Means, to report a bill authorizing the Commissioner of the
Land office to issue a Patent for a tract of Land in Allegany
county called "Holland."
Also, leave was granted the committee on Corporations to
report a bill to enlarge the power and authority of the Mayor
and Council of the city of Cumberland, Allegany county,
Maryland.
On motion of Mr. Valliant,
Leave was granted a select committee to report a bill to re-
peal certain sections of the Code of Public General Laws re-
lating to apprentices.
On motion of Mr. Rinehart,
Leave was granted the Frederick and Carroll county dele-
gations to report a bill to incorporate the Union Bridge and
Unionvllle Turnpike company.
On motion of Mr. Slothower,
Leave was granted the committee on Corporations to report
a bill to incorporate the Pocahontas Manufacturing company.
On motion of Mr. Wardwell,
Leave was granted the committee on Roads and Highways
to report a bill relating to roads and highways.
On motion of Mr. Angel,
Leave was granted the committee on Claims to report a bill
to refund money to Levi Valentine and Levi Yingling, col-
lectors of State taxes in Carroll county, erroneously paid into
the Treasury.
