Resolution directing the Comptroller to adjust
the account of the State school tax for eighteen
hundred and sixty-five, with Prince George's
county.
WHEREAS the County Commissioners of Prince
George's county failed to levy the State school
tax for the year eighteen hundred and sixty-five;
and whereas, the State Superintendent of Public
Instruction, in the distribution of the State
school tax for eighteen hundred and sixty-five,
apportioned to Prince George's county, the sum
of fifteen thousand two hundred dollars and
sixty-two cents, no part of which amount has
been paid because of the failure to levy as afore-
said; therefore,
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the Comptroller be authorized and directed
to adjust the account of said county by charging
it with the sum of eleven thousand four hundred
and thirty-nine dollars and sixty-two cents, being
the amount of school tax which should have been
levied in said county, and by giving said county
credit for the amount apportioned to it as afore-
said, paying to said county the difference between
the amount which should have been levied, and
the amount apportioned. |

That the Comptroller of the Treasury be and he
is hereby authorized and directed to issue warrants
upon the Treasurer for the payment of all claims
for Bounty which were examined and passed, or
certified to be correct by the late Comptroller or |
