on the general business of a Dry Dock and Ware-
house Company, and the said company shall be
capable in law of holding, purchasing and convey-
ing any real or personal estate which may be
necessary and proper to enable it to carry on the
said operations, and it shall have the right to de-
mand and receive reasonable compensation for its
services and reasonable rent, storage and wharfage
and dockage for the use of its premises. |

Sec. 7. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage, and the
General Assembly reserves to itself the right to
alter, amend and repeal this Act at pleasure. |

AN ACT to declare the sanction of the General
Assemby of Maryland to the bequest of Mar-
garet Julia Newman, late of Queen Anne's
county, deceased, to the Trustees of the Metho-
dist Episcopal Church at Centreville, in said
county. |
Preamble. |
WHEREAS, Margaret Julia Newman, late of
Queen Anne's county, deceased, by her last will
and testament, dated the fourteenth day of No-
vember, eighteen hundred and sixty-three, and
duly admitted to probate in the office of the
Register of Wills for said county, on the twenty-
ninth day of December, eighteen hundred and
sixty-three, bequeathed to the Trustees of the
Methodist Episcopal Church in Centreville, in said
county, the sum of five hundred dollars, to be ap-
plied, in the first place by them to the payment of
the debt of said church, and then in such manner
as they shall deem proper; therefore |
