Company, or a majority of them, shall constitute,
appoint and employ such officers, agents and ser-
vants for the construction, repair and preservation
of said road, and the running of cars, and the
transportation of passengers thereon, and for the
transaction of all other business of said Company
as in their judgment may be necessary. |
Banking pri-
vileges prohib-

Sec. 13. And be it enacted, That nothing in this
Act contained shall be so construed as to authorize
said Company, or its agents, or officers, to issue
any scrip or bank note, or exercise any banking
privileges. |

and void. |
Sec. 14. And be it enacted, That unless the said
road shall be commenced within one year from the
passage of this Act, and completed within three
years to Hall's Springs, on the Harford Turnpike
Road, then this Act shall be null and void. |
In force and
reservation. |
Sec. 15. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage, and that
the General Assembly reserves to itself the right
to amend or repeal this Act at pleasure. |

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That J. Henry Stickney, William
Keyser, Horace L. Brooke, Henry Irving Keyser,
John L. Reed, Wm. H. Cole, Thomas F. Troxell,
and Thomas J. Case, their associates, successors
and assigns, be and they are hereby created a body
corporate by the name and style of the "Avalon
Nail and Iron Company," and by said name may
sue and he sued in any court of law or equity, and
make and use a common seal, and alter the same
at pleasure, and may have, use and exercise all
the rights, powers and privileges necessary or |
