Sec. 9. And be it enacted, That upon the pay-
ment, or tender of payment, to the owner or
owners of the land so condemned, of the amount
of damages that may have been assessed by such
inquisition, after the same shall have been con-
firmed by said Court, the said Company shall be
at liberty to take possession of said land and ma-
terials, and to construct upon such land on such
grade as they may deem expedient, the said rail-
way, and put the same in operation, and take into
their possession and use such materials, and to do
all things that may bo lawful for the purposes of
their said railway. |

Sec. 10. And be it enacted, That it shall and
may be lawful for the said Company to make and
construct lateral roads, subject to the provisions of
the foregoing sections of this Act, relating to the
condemnation of land and material in cases where
the owner or owners thereof and the said Company
are not able to agree, or where such owner or
owners shall be a feme covert, infant, or non com-
pos mentis. |

Sec. 11. And be it enacted. That it shall and
may be lawful for the said Company to issue its
bonds or obligations in sums of not less than one
hundred dollars each, and payable with interest
at such time or times as the president and directors
of said Company may appoint, and to sell and dis-
pose of the same, and to provide for the security
and payment of the same by mortgage or other-
wise; and also, that it shall and may be lawful
for the said Company to issue certificates of stock,
and to apply the same, if they shall find it ex-
pedient to do so, in payment of the expenses of the
construction and equipment of said road or other
liability of the Company. |

Sec. 12. And be it enacted, That the stock-
holders of said Company in general meeting as-
sembled, or a majority of them, shall have power
to make and adopt such by-laws, rules and regula-
tions for the direction and management of said
Company as may in their judgment from time to
time be necessary for the purposes of their incorpo-
ration, not inconsistent with the provisions of this
charter and the laws and Constitution of this
