cretion, the said sum of one hundred thousand
dollars shall be invested in the purchase of such
articles of food and raiment as, in their judgment,
are most needed by the destitute people in the
States aforesaid, and which articles shall be de-
spatched to their destinations and distributed un-
der the direction of the said commission with as
little delay and expense as possible. |

Sec. 6. And be it enacted, That the said com-
mission shall keep an exact and particular account.
of the manner in which the said sum shall be dis-
posed of by them, and cause a copy of said account
to be lodged in the office of the Comptroller of the
Treasury. |

AN ACT to repeal Chapter two hundred and forty-
seven, passed January session eighteen hundred
and sixty-four, entitled an Act to add an addi-
tional Section to Article thirty of the Code of
Public General Laws, relating to crimes and
punishments. |

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Act passed at January
session eighteen hundred and sixty-four, chapter
two hundred and forty-seven, entitled an Act to
add an additional section to Article thirty of the
Code of Public General Laws, relating to crimes
and punishments, is hereby repealed and re-enact-
ed so as to read as follows : |

That any person or persons who shall enter up-
on the land of any other person or body corporate
or politic in this State, and shall willfully and ma-
liciously injure or destroy any house, take and
carry away any growng tree, vise, plant, shrub- |
